Attorneys Anne Di Maria-Cone and Steve Cone are a husband-and-wife team with over 54 combined years of family law experience. Having raised a family ourselves, we never lose sight of how the legal advocacy we provide affects real children and parents. This is why we strive to get to know our clients as whole people. We work with them to find ways to cope with the turmoil of divorce, use mediation where possible, and give them the tools they need to thrive afterwards. Our firm prides itself on providing effective and creative solutions based on the needs of our individual clients.

Steve Cone joined Di Maria & Cone in 1997 and practices primarily in family law litigation, complex property division, and custody issues. Steve is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz and received his B.A. in Earth Sciences in 1973. Since graduating cum laude from Santa Clara University School of Law, Steve has been practicing law in California since 1978. He is admitted to practice in California Courts and U.S. District Courts. He is an active member of the family law sections of the California Bar, the Santa Clara County Bar Association, the San Mateo County Bar Association and in the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce. In his spare time, Steve enjoys gardening, traveling and reading on a wide array of topics. He also plays on a local softball team.

Support Staff

Denise Tripp is the Paralegal and Legal Assistant extraordinaire for Di Maria & Cone. She received her certificate of paralegal studies from the UC Berkeley Extension Program in 2008 and has specialized in family law for over 15 years. She is a Bay Area native and, in her free time, she enjoys gardening and spending time with her two sons.

Jennie Cone is a Legal Assistant for Di Maria & Cone. She graduated with honors from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a degree in Film and Digital Media. Currently, she is working towards her Juris Doctorate degree at Santa Clara University School of Law and is enjoying her first semester of law school. When she is not working or studying, Jennie likes to watch movies, take nature walks, and take pictures.
